If you ever go to Komae, off the Odakyu line, check out the restaurants. Surprisingly this place has one of the best foods in Japan. Thai, Korean, Chinese, Shabu Shabu, and this Yakitori place. It`s actually quite famous. (I forgot the name, I will post later). All i have to say is wow. I`ve eaten many yakitori places before, but nothing beats this.

Shimokitazawa - Mickey Shirt
In case you didn`t quite understand Mickey`s sign language. This gave me a nice chuckle. A shop down in Shimokitazawa.
Yokohama - Annin Dofu Kit Kats
Different flavor kit kats are quite a common theme in Japan. I came across these down in China town, Yokohama. Didn`t buy or taste them, but I`m sure they are unique.

Denny`s Breakfast in Japan
Top -Bacon & egg with Natto, rice & miso Soup 500yen Bottom - Salmon, mini salad, with rice, natto & miso soup 600yen |
Standard Egg & Bacon w/grilled cheese sandwich 400yen |
Club sandwich w/ shrimp & Avocado 430yen |
I went with the egg/bacon/sausage & egg over easy. Pretty standard seeing as i could probably cook this myself for a mere 100yen.
9.30am in the morning on a Thursday.. Beer. This guy is my hero. |
In short, Denny`s breakfast in Japan (USA Style) is the same as your 5 year old cooking breakfast. Despite the lack of options, if you want to eat healthy after a good ole smashing hangover: Salmon, miso & natto is the best way to go for a cure. I don`t advise it if you`re hungry though :)
I wouldn`t recommend breakfast at Dennys, no matter how starving you are. Pick up some eggs at the grocery store & some bacon, and you have denny`s breakfast in your home kitchen for a week.
Time - 9am Breakfast
Price - 500yen Average price
Menu - SHORT - 4 listings
Pros:
+ Hangover cure
+ Watching old men drink beer at 9.30am in the morning.
Cons:
- Cheaper to cook at home
- 3 outs instead of a grand slam. Make that 4 outs.
- Say to your partner after finishing, `so where do you want to go eat`
In conclusion: Keep in mind Dennys in Japan is not really like Dennys, at all. If you are looking for a some good greasy American food, this is not the place.
